Jasper Pääkkönen's and Markus Selin's game company sold for 59 million Euros
Category: General.
Swedish listed company Unibet signed a purchase agreement on Friday, according to which it will pay EUR 59 million from iGame Group — and all its subsidiaries. The company’s catalog includes several online casinos, such as Kolikkopelit.com, as well as betting and poker sites.
The owners of the Maltese-based iGame Group include Jasper Pääkkönen, a well-known advocate and actor in fish affairs, Markus Selin, the producer of the fabulous Mannerheim film, and Aki Pyysing, one of Finland’s best-known poker faces.
In addition to the EUR 59 million cash, the purchase agreement entered into by Unibet includes an additional purchase amount, the amount of which will be determined based on the result made by the end of June 2016.
The iGame brand is well known in the Nordic market and we see a lot of potential in combining our expertise with their local knowledge. Most of iGame’s revenue comes from casinos, and we plan to unite our brands in that area.
— Unibet CEO Henrik Järnström
We are pleased to be joining Unibet. Although Unibet is much larger, we share the same passion for customer service and operations development. Customers will soon see the benefits of the deal.
